CAVE PAINTING | Ch 3 Thailand
Renowned national artist Chalermchai Kositpipat with three hundred fellow artists from Thailand’s Chiangrai province, have begun working on an artwork telling the story of the twelve schoolboys and their soccer coach rescued from the Chiangrai cave. The painting features the members of the football team, rescuers, divers and volunteers from many countries, as well as former navy seal Saman Kunan who lost his life during the rescue. The artwork, named “ The Hero ”, is three meters wide and thirteen meters long. Mr Chalermchai funding the creation in remembrance of the historic international rescue effort and is seeking permission to build an exhibition hall outside the cave to display his painting.
